Your Privacy Choices
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Victory Waves Co. builds software for political campaigns. To do that, we hold information about registered voters that we license from third-party data providers — not information those voters gave us directly. If you are a registered voter in the United States, information about you may be in our systems even though you have never used a Victory Waves product.
This page explains what you can ask us to do about that, and how to ask. These choices are free, and using them will never cause you to receive a lesser service or a different price from us.
What we hold, and where it comes from
Depending on the state you are registered in, the information we hold about a voter may include:
- Identifiers and contact information — name, postal address, telephone numbers, email address, and a voter identification number assigned by your state.
- Voter registration information — party affiliation, registration date and status, districts, and participation history for past elections. This comes from your state or county election authority.
- Commercially sourced and modeled attributes — estimated household and demographic characteristics, and modeled scores predicting likely views on political issues. These are statistical estimates purchased from data vendors. They are not statements of fact about you, and they are not drawn from any government record.
- Approximate location — geographic coordinates derived from a registration address.
- Advertising identifiers — mobile advertising IDs associated with a household or device.
Our sources are commercial voter-data providers, including L2 (Labels & Lists, Inc.) and TargetSmart Communications, which in turn obtain voter registration records from state and county election authorities and append commercially sourced data to them.
Your rights
Know what we have
You can ask us to tell you the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources it came from, our purposes for collecting it, the categories of third parties we disclose it to, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
Know what we sell or share, and to whom
You can ask us to tell you the categories of personal information about you that we have disclosed to third parties, and the categories of those third parties.
Delete
You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. Some information may be retained where a law permits or requires it — for example, to complete a transaction, to comply with a legal obligation, or to detect and prevent fraud or security incidents. If we deny a deletion request in whole or in part, we will tell you which basis we relied on.
Correct
You can ask us to correct personal information about you that is inaccurate. This matters especially for modeled attributes, which are statistical estimates and can simply be wrong.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
You can direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information. Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control signal; we do not yet detect it automatically, so use the request route below and we will honor it.
Limit the use of sensitive personal information
Some of what we hold falls into categories that state law treats as sensitive — for example, information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or precise geolocation. You can direct us to limit our use and disclosure of that information to what is necessary to provide our services.
Appeal
If we decline a request, you may appeal. Tell us you are appealing and why, using the same contact route below. We will respond in writing within 60 days of receiving the appeal, and if we deny it we will give you a written explanation and a means of contacting your state attorney general to submit a complaint.
No retaliation
We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level or quality of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email info@victorywaves.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Every right on this page can be exercised through that one route — none of them requires more steps than any other.
To help us find the right records, please tell us:
- which right you are exercising;
- your full name, including any former name you may be registered under;
- your current residential address and, if you have moved in the last several years, your previous one; and
- the state in which you are registered to vote.
We use this information only to locate your records and verify that the request is really yours, and we delete it afterwards unless we are required to retain a record of the request itself. Submitting a request does not create an account with us and does not by itself establish any other relationship.
How long we take
We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you before the first 45 days are up and explain why; an extension will not exceed a further 45 days.
If someone is acting for you
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.
Requests we receive and how we handle them
We keep count of the privacy requests we receive, how many we grant and deny, the reasons for refusals, and how long we take to respond. Where a law requires those figures to be published, we publish them here.
